Note, this proposal does not interfere with other forms of maintenance:

Corrective Maintenance--Inspections performed at the time of repair that verify the safety and efficacy of the device.

Metered Maintenance--inspections that are performed at equipment-specific metered time periods (usually in hours).

Predictive Maintenance--inspections performed based on specific measured indicators unique to the device (e.g. air flow meter determining filter change).
